What gender discrimination looks like today

It may be hard to believe, but gender discrimination continues to exist in many workplaces.  Women consistently earn less than men for the same work.  Women are passed over for promotions because they are seen as too “soft” or likely to interrupt their career for family reasons.  Women are even fired for becoming pregnant.

In addition, sexual harassment continues to be a problem for many women in the work force.  From unwelcome advances to pornographic videos and pictures to outright assault, to many workplaces are hostile to women.
